Second opinion · Design

A second opinion on your design — before it ships.

The Audit Room gives teams and founders an independent design review by an experienced designer. Websites, app interfaces, visual identities, presentations and print are checked for hierarchy, typography, usability, consistency and craft. You receive a written audit with concrete observations and priorities, within 24 to 72 hours.

What gets reviewed

01

Hierarchy and focus

What the eye sees first, second and third, and whether that matches what matters most.

02

Typography

Typeface choice, sizes, line length, spacing and rhythm. Small decisions that decide whether a page reads as considered or improvised.

03

Layout and grid

Structure, alignment, white space and proportions across pages and screen sizes.

04

Colour, contrast and accessibility

Whether colour supports meaning and brand, and whether text and controls meet contrast requirements for everyone.

05

Usability and flow

For websites and interfaces: navigation, interaction states, forms and the path to the main action.

06

System and craft

Whether components, icons and imagery follow one system, and whether the details are finished to the standard of the brand.

Why a second opinion

Good enough is easy to make. Good is easy to miss.

Teams stop seeing their own design after the tenth iteration, and AI tools now produce layouts and visuals that look finished at first glance.

An experienced designer with no stake in the result sees what a demanding audience will notice: the weak hierarchy, the inconsistent detail, the step where users drop off.

Who this is for
  • Teams before a website or product launch
  • Founders who designed with templates or AI tools
  • Companies reviewing work delivered by an agency or freelancer
  • Designers who want an experienced outside view on their work
The process

How it works

  1. Step 1

    You submit your work

Upload your project confidentially — from early concepts and pitch decks to websites, campaigns, interfaces or AI-generated creative work.

  2. Step 2

    I provide a second opinion

Every submission is reviewed independently by a person, not by an automated scoring system.

  3. Step 3

    You receive your audit

Concise observations, blind spots and strategic feedback designed to help you move forward with greater clarity, confidence and reassurance.

FAQ

Questions about design reviews

What kind of design can you review?

Websites, landing pages, app and software interfaces, visual identities and logos, presentations, campaign visuals, packaging and print. Static files, prototypes and live links all work.

Can I share a Figma file or prototype?

Yes. Paste a view link to the Figma file, prototype or staging site in the order form. Add access details only if they are required.

Is this a usability test with users?

No. It is an expert review by an experienced designer. It finds most issues quickly and cheaply; testing with real users remains valuable for questions only users can answer.

Will you redesign it for me?

No. You receive a written audit with clear observations and priorities. The Audit Room gives an independent opinion and does not take on production work.

Is unreleased work kept confidential?

Yes. A mutual NDA covers every order. Files are stored encrypted, seen only by the reviewer and never shown as a reference or used to train AI models.
